Renan O. Corrêa is a postdoctoral fellow who joined the 'Laboratory of Intestinal Immunity' in April 2022. He earned both his masters and PhD degrees in Immunology at the University of Campinas (Brazil), being also trained at the University of Cambridge (UK) and at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA). His research has focused on host-microbiota interactions, mainly on the adaptations of the intestinal epithelium to dietary factors and to alterations in the profile of the gut microbial community. He is currently interested in the postnatal development of the immune system driven by commensal members of the microbiota such as Segmented Filamentous Bacteria (SFB).
